BEST Inc.’s instructor staff has developed an up-to-date electronic component ID poster for use in your classroom. The instructors wanted a clean, crisp display of a variety of components so that they could cover the majority of the component styles in their instruction of “what components are called”.
This clear and concise poster will guide your instruction through many of the elements required of electronic component ID teaching.
The middle of the poster gives examples of different passive package sizes both in imperial and metric sizes in a clear color-coded format. These images are actual size so trainees can prepare themselves for what surface mount technology really looks like.
The bottom of the poster features a multitude of different component lead types and mounting styles a soldering technician may encounter on a PCB.
The pictures are crisp and sharp and feature a variety of the most common component package types so that students can easily use the chart as reference. The variations of different devices including IO counts are also spelled out for students.
The poster is printed on a heavy coated quality paper stock (48#-70 gsm) at 24 x 30” (610mm x 762). It is protected in a rolled shipping tube and can be mounted on backing material at your favorite framing location or by gluing it to foamboard. Another option is to laminate the poster locally.
Use this poster alongside our NEW YouTube video to introduce this topic to your newly onboarded soldering technicians.
