Toxic Substance Control Act Conformity Statement

Soldertools certifies that every product manufactured and sold by SolderTools is compliant with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Section 6(h) to restrict the importation and use of five persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) chemicals. These chemicals include:
  • PIP (3:1), phenol, isopropylated phosphate (3:1), CAS 68937-41-7 (March 8, 2021).
  • HCBD, hexachlorobutadiene, CAS 87-68-3, (restriction date per originally published final rule: March 8, 2021).
  • DecaBDE, decabromodiphenyl ether, CAS 1163-19-5 (restriction date per originally published final rule: January 6, 2021).
  • PCTP, pentachlorothiophenol, CAS 133-49-3 (restriction date per originally published final rule: March 8, 2021)
  • 2,4,6 TTBP, 2,4,6-tris(tert-butyl)phenol, CAS 732-26-3 (restriction date per originally published final rule: March 8, 2026).
SolderTools has systems in place to ensure ongoing compliance with the Toxic Substance Control Act. These systems include standard operating procedures that ensure that restricted substances are not used in our manufacturing operations. In addition we require that our third party suppliers provide us with certifications, verifying  the materials they supply to us comply with the Act.

SolderTools makes an ongoing effort to secure material content declarations from our contract manufacturers, suppliers, and other third parties. We are taking and will continue to take reasonable measures to provide representative and accurate information but may not have conducted destructive testing or chemical analyses on incoming materials and chemicals. Some information may not yet be available from some of our suppliers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolderTools shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or any other exemplary damages arising out of the information provided herein, or arising out of its provision of non-REACH compliant products or materials.
